Hello everyone. Happy chhoti Diwali to all of you and to your family too.
I’ve been on a visiting spree to the dentist for the past two days. For some reason I just dislike visiting doctors and dentist is one such doctor I fear. Had some fillings to be done and a word of advise from my dentist as to not to consume hard things as it might just make the fillings weak and make it chip off. So, bye bye to pistas , almonds, cashews! 😒 It’s a nuts-free Diwali for me. What else can be more annoying than this but then it’s better to be safe than regret later.
First day when I visited I was kind of scared as to what would be the problem and as usual after examining my not pure- white but a tinge of yellowish teeth, the dentist started explaining what’s the issue. First she started off scaring me about the effects of the germs spreading to other teeth and this and that would happen and I was just sitting there acting brave and as though I understood every thing and she ended off saying nothing to worry and mine was a minor problem and some fillings would solve the issue and the usual talks on how ideally one should be brushing the teeth. 🙄
Doctors have a way of scaring people, I tell you.
Once I’m on the dental chair and i see those equipments, my heart just skips a beat but then once the procedure starts, everything’s fine. 😁
And the most annoying and hilarious part is when the mouth is wide open like a hippo and the dentist questions me on something, I’m like, “how am I to answer this when you are inserting the suction, tongs and what not in my mouth ???” Arghhh😕😑😥.
And the dentist is telling me what procedures they are doing exactly and I’m there lying on that chair with open mouth with the nurse on one side and the dentist on the other and with things inserted in my mouth and hoping as to when would this get over and when would be that most awaited time that I just thank the doctor and nurse and leave! 😃Doesn’t that happen to you guys too when you make a visit to any doctor for that matter that you just want to leave as soon as possible without hearing any scary news regarding your issue?
This hospital and clinic scenes really puts me off. People already come with the mindset that they are terribly sick, devoid of smiles on their faces, crying and yelling children, gloomy faces all around and if you strike a conversation with any of them they will scare you more with their medical issues and give references of others too who suffer from their type of problem or more severe cases than theirs😥.
So, finally, today was the last trip to the dentist. Had some personal chit chat with her and how difficult she is finding to balance her work, family and kids and how she’s planning to quit her profession for her children’s sake cos they need her constantly and she isn’t able to give them their quality time. Sigh! People and their never ending problems. Well then, I took my leave, wished her a happy Diwali and moved on as I had other works to be completed.
So, that’s all for now. Have a good day and happy munching on those dry fruits and sweets! 😁☺️
